Volunteer Agreement

This volunteer agreement was made on October 16, 2017 made by A+ King Services & Entertainment LLC for volunteer work at the Alamo City Furry Invasion herein known as the ACFI.  Any individual applying for staff or to volunteer at the ACFI by selecting “Yes I agree that I am volunteering my time and will not be paid for hours worked at the ACFI” am agreeing to the terms set forth within this contract agreement.

The volunteer is willing to donate their time and services to the organization listed above, in turn the organization is wiling to accept such time and service by the volunteer.

In consideration of the above, the parties herby agree to the following terms and conditions.

SERVICES

The volunteer is able to provide the following services as well as take account of other needs the organization may have.  The volunteer agrees to

  1. Provide labor in departments they are designated which may include physical as well as mental labor.

  2. Provide feedback and intellectual properties that will help to improve efficiency and effectiveness of designated departments.
     

WAGES

The volunteer understands the services provided will be a donation and under no circumstances will expect wages, salary, or benefits from the organization for the services provided within this volunteer agreement.
 

SUPERVISION

The volunteer will report to their respective department leaders on the days that services are provided for instructions and guidance and follow through with any orders and/or instructions provided.  At no point is the volunteer to take on any tasks outside of their instructions or orders for any reason.
 

EMPLOYMENT

The volunteer understands they are under no terms considered an employee of the organization.  Furthermore, the organization acknowledges the volunteer is not an employee and may provide services at free will.  The volunteer will receive no employee benefits including disability, pay, workman comp, or severance pay.  It is also understood that the employee may terminate their volunteer donation and services at any time.  Such volunteer termination will not require the organization continue to honor any benefits the organization may provide voluntarily, such as but not limited to, registration, swag, convention perks and items etc…
 

LIABILITY

The volunteer agrees to indemnify and hold the organization harmless against any damages related to the volunteer’s activity or activities related or unrelated to the services requested by the organization.  Additionally, the organization shall hold the volunteer harmless against any damages related to the volunteers related service.  Any services unrelate to the organization shall be the responsibility of the volunteer.
 

JURISDICTION

Any and all legal proceedings that may arise from the volunteer agreement shall remain in the jurisdiction of The State of Texas.  The volunteer agrees that in the instance of legal proceedings they will cooperate with the organization as well as the organization’s agents.  The volunteer agrees to provide written notification to the organization in the event an incident takes place while the volunteer is providing service.
 

TERM

Because the volunteer is not an active employee, they may terminate this volunteer agreement at any time for any reason they deem necessary.  The organization may decline to accept a volunteer’s time and/or services and may terminate this agreement without prior notification for any reason.  Additionally, the volunteer understands that the term of this agreement for the volunteer services requested by the organization is only for the current year in which the organization is planning and executing the event knows as the ACFI.
 

EXCHANGE

In exchange for the volunteer services the organization only agrees to pay for the registration of the event known as the ACFI.  The organization shall not be held responsible for any other exchange for services.  In the event the organization provides any other exchange of services it is purely voluntary on behalf of the event.
 

EMERGENCY

In the event that an emergency should occur while the volunteer is providing services the organization agrees to contact any emergency contact immediately upon any event of an emergency.  The volunteer understand that they are responsible for providing an emergency contact and their information to the organization.
 

AGREEMENT

The volunteer understands that by clicking “Yes I agree that I am volunteering my time and will not be paid for hours worked at the ACFI” in the staff or volunteer application for the ACFI, they are agreeing to the terms within this volunteer agreement.
