Champ
Champ the Fox (He/Him, 37 ½ y.o.), aka Handler Rick, is a trans, gay, acespec, and monogamous pet player residing in Austin, TX. Currently, he is the 2024 Texas Pup State Runner-up-- and has been busying his paws in many community-based endeavors, such as the Critter AMP mentorship project, an 8-week intensive course that provides a deep dive look into "critter culture," and the K9-9K, a twice-annual Fun Run for animal roleplayers to show off their gear in a safe public space while running to support trans visibility!

He is also a Director to the Board of Boop Society of Central Texas, which hosts numerous events for critters in the area. From munches and moshes, kayaking to hiking, karaoke to board game nights, Boop Society has a little something for everypuppy! We're grateful to get to collaborate with many top-notch organizations and kink-friendly local establishments to bring even more fun events to life) such as Furry Rave Night with ACFI and The Austin Eagle. 😉)

Most often you'll see Champ at kink events/conventions running educationals and fun activities, hosting pet play moshes, performing pet play routines onstage with his huspuppy, and occasionally even judging competitions. His advocacy efforts focus on destigmatizing kink, pet play for mental health/emotional wellness, issues surrounding transgender folks, deconstructing the gender binary, demisexuality/monogamy in kink, LGBTQ+ reproductive rights, and gender expansive/creative parenting. As much as possible, he extends his advocacy work outside of the kink sphere as well, as a regular contributor to his vanilla workplace's employee newsletter and as a founding member of the DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion) working group and assistant member of the Pride ERG (Employee Resource Group).

A full-time adventure-seeker, in his free time Champ loves spending time outdoors, emBARKing on roadtrips, writing Yelp reviews, and snapping waaay too many photos.
